News Ltd National Media Booking System Project
This project involved the replacement of legacy systems across the country with a new generation of systems. With a project budget of over $40M, the project involved the design, integration and implementation phases spanning approx 3 years. Ensys has had several full time consultants engaged as part of this project for the entire duration.

Our Ensys consultants were engaged in various key areas of this project.

Ensys staff provided Project Management and technical services for the Data Migration and Divisional Conversion aspects of the project which involved the migration of over $2 Billion dollars of advertising data from legacy AR systems.

Ensys staff provided specialized technical skills to assist in design and implementation of system components plus database design and configuration. Ensys also provided services around developing automation tools and scripts to assist business integration.

Other key areas of services we provided involved Business and Process analysis, Integration analysis and the management of User Acceptance Testing phases.

As several Ensys consultants were considered to be part of the core project team it was a requirement that our consultants travel across the country, as part of the implementation team, and be present as each of the 8 Divisional groups went live on the new systems.

Acquisition and Merger Project
When the Quest Community Newspaper Group acquired another publishing company on the Sunshine Coast, they were faced with the dilemma of having to merge and manage two operations within the one region.

With a project budget of $300K+ Ensys Consulting was engaged to provide Project Management and technical services to assist the relocation, and merger, of two separate operations into one new premise located at Noosa. We not only managed the business, process and technology aspects but also undertook the project management of the building works and the physical relocation of both operations.

Production System Merge Project
Queensland Newspapers, owners of the Courier Mail, Sunday Mail and Brisbane News publications engaged Ensys Consulting to provide Project Management and specialised technical skills to assist with merging another publishing operation into their production environment located at Bowen Hills.
The aim of this project was to realize substantial business savings, by removing existing duplication of technology infrastructure and resources across two independent production sites. This engagement involved project management, system analysis and design, Process analysis and design, business solution design and systems implementation aspects.

The most critical aspect of this project was to successfully merge the operations whilst not impacting on the daily and weekly production of two major metropolitan newspaper, and 20+ weekly community newspapers. $500K + project budget

Melbourne Contact Centre Implementation
With Ensys Consulting's previous Contact Centre Implementation experience, we were engaged to assist the IT and Business implementation teams in preparation for go-live. The centre was a state of the art 200+ seat centre located in Blackburn Victoria that utilized Avaya, Eloyalty telephony plus Siebel CRM software.
Primarily this engagement was to bring specific Contact Centre Technologies implementation and management experience to the exiting teams. In addition our experience in managing critical technology outages and business continuity planning was utilized. During this engagement we also provided assistance on technology support structures and procedures plus implementation of support level agreements between the technology and business groups.
Project budget of $5M +

North Queensland Production System Replacement Project
North Queensland Newspapers engaged Ensys to assist with the design and implementation of a new Production and AR system, to replace an ageing and unstable legacy system.

Ensys Project managed the entire replacement project from sourcing hardware to implementation and go-live. As this site was based in Townsville, which is a cyclonic region, the design of the new system had to include additional contingency for business continuity. In addition the final phase of this project was to design a full Disaster Recovery site for implementation by the client.
Project budget of $300K+

News International

Engaged by News International to complete business system analysis of existing Contract Management and Pricing engine component. The core deliverable of this project was to outline current position and to assist the client to develop a strategic plan of key future business and technology requirements in this area.
In addition to the above Ensys consultants designed and implemented interim business solutions to enable ongoing operations during the transition to the new technology platform.

Telstra Big Pond Media

As a division of Telstra Big Pond Media, Sensis Trading Posts have engaged Ensys consultants in both Sydney and Melbourne to assist with technical aspects of design and implementation of a new technology platform.

In addition to this, services included system configuration, script writing, business and process analysis plus business solutions design and implementation.

OZCARE

Ozcare have engaged Ensys consultants on a regular basis in varying roles, these roles have included project management, business and systems analysis, creation of technical documentation, development and delivery of technical and end user training.

Ensys consultants have managed in excess of 30 small to medium sized projects for Ozcare whilst also assisting them with the development of formal project management and reporting structures internally within their organization.

Several of these projects have involved delivering services associated to Ozcare's Microsoft Navision database and associated custom modules.

Blockbuster Video Stores

For Patrick Smith group, Ensys consultants have implemented a centralized SQL Server solution to facilitate business reporting and data warehousing. Replicating the data to a central location has improved data access times and provided added data redundancy.

SQL Server Reporting Services are being used to transform current spreadsheets and reports into an enterprise reporting solution which provides scalability and reduced maintenance.

Current projects include the development of a Text Messaging Notification System. This system will be used for the distribution of information to customers. Complex business rules have been incorporated into the system to ensure the appropriate communications are sent to customers.
